gave me a challenge to draw a creature from the future, evolved from current animal, based on current environmental issues.

so here's the result. you asked me to do one, i give you 2 creatures, doggeh

in my imagination:
after the extinction of big cats in mainland asia, dominant herbivores become abundant, and of course, bigger. this also happens because of the rising number of plant due to the carbon rich air.

the mosquito - a result of the rising number of herbivores. mosquito become bigger and more in number. the coloration is caused by chemical pollution that it get from the herbivore's blood, which eat contaminated plants. during this era, most animals use specific toxin as defense.

the frog - due to the amphibian crisis, most amphibians become extinct. a few species survived and become bigger because of the lack of competitor. because of the rising temperature, it hides near water source during the day, and the upper side of the body's light in color to disguise the frog from predators that attack from the air. it hunts in the night, and since it has bigger and stronger body, it can chase the prey more efficiently, even climbing trees and glide down to chase insects. the "wings" are basically developed membran, a modification of skin, since it feeds on more protein. it has dark underside to make it invisible when it glides. the striking color's a sign of toxin, because it feeds on poisonous mosquito. the coloration's also used in mating courtship. and the head proportion's bigger, as it's brain gets bigger too because of the protein rich diet.
